Good morning. There is lots to work on. Besides this: *15 - 20 new photographs, both b/w and color. I need some new work for this portfolio. I'm sick of looking at my older stuff. And an Artist Statement
*20 pages of writing. I pretty much have this, just need to edit a little. It got me into film school. But I could always write something new. A Statement of Intent, a list of books that will be read, and a methods of study plan. I have more stuff published, so I'm not worried about that.
* Whole study plan for the Independent Study program; Books, research, courses, papers, projects, and objectives. And a Statement of Intent
I also have this: *Schoolwork (Can wait until tonight)
*Costumes to make for Grand Performance Productions
*Work on one of my screenplays - just 10 minutes of writing everyday
*New layouts/pics for myspace/lj *Set up new online store, using google shopping cart - Google rocks!
*work on Kandikids.org - like myspace, only for ravers. Must put up just a basic coming soon page for now
*redo my artist site and finish it
*Make some clothing to sell |

So, I'm applying to three different programs. The first is an MFA in Photography from the Art Academy of San Francisco. The second is a low residency MFA in Creative Writing. Basically, every semester I would have to go up to Vermont for a few days and then work from home. How perfect is that? A few days in a serene Vermont setting. I would never want to live there, but visiting and getting your mind set to write is perfect. The third program is an Independent Study program, where I get to combine Photography/Art with Creative Writing. Its through a college in Boston, so I'll get to visit Boston every semester. I miss Boston.
Film school is still a dream of mine, but I'm not going to wait around to get there.
Notes to self: Portfolios to work on *15 - 20 new photographs, both b/w and color. I need some new work for this portfolio. I'm sick of looking at my older stuff. And an Artist Statement

I have my work cut out for me, but I have a while to do it. |

I decided to apply to a few MFA long distance programs/low residency programs. If I get accepted than my MBA will be put on hold for awhile, but then I can always go back to it once my MFA is finished. The MBA program is cheaper than the MFA programs, so I really need help from government loans to pay for the MFA. I'm more likely to be able to pay for the MBA out-of-pocket. I would rather go to a physical school for my MFA, but even with financial aid, I can't afford the colleges here. I can only afford Brockport, but I don't want my graduate degree to come from the same school as my Bachelor's. Plus, its possible that Xander might not go to Preschool full time next year, while Cain is in first grade. So, I'll be home with Xan - yay, more mommy time - I am very excited about this. I would love to have my Cain-a-roo home too, but now he's in Kindergarten its manditory for him to be in school :( I <3 my kids! Part of me is sooo glad we didn't more to Los Angeles. I would have been away from them most of the time and they really need me in these early school years. |

The kids stayed home from school on friday. Xander woke up with a high fever and he said he felt really sick. Cain was fine, but I was too lazy to take him to school, I wasn't feeling too good myself. Cain never misses school, so I figured it would be alright. Spent the day rocking Xander like an infant again in a rocking chair as he slept. Poor thing was so sick and if I moved him I knew I would wake him up. At one point, he threw up on me. But, hey, that's okay, I'm his mommy. Let Cain stay up late that night to have a sleepover with me and Xander in the living room.I even brought his mattress into the living room, he loved it. Xander slept with me on the couch most of the night, then I gave him room and fell asleep on the floor. When I woke up Saturday morning, the kids were already up and Xander was much better. I attempted to work on some homework and other work, but after finally realizing the kids weren't going to do anything, I gave up. Ended up playing with them, coloring with them, and then making cookies with them. I love spending time with my boys. I love being a mommy. |

I am so tired and burnt out from my MBA program. And I thought taking two classes this session was a good idea. Next session only one class, Managerial Accounting. People don't realize that an online program is just as hard, if not harder than being in a real classroom setting. You are basically teaching yourself the material and sessions are only 8 weeks long. I took my accounting final on tuesday. I still have to take my economics final, probably tomorrow. I'm getting sick of sick of this program, i would much rather by working on my MFA. But soon enough I guess..... |

Critics did not like the Number 23, they gave it bad ratings. It was No. 2 in box office results, only unable to beat out Nicolas Cage in Ghostrider, but come on its Ghostrider. Critcs gave this one a bad rating too. To all the critics: Sorry the Number 23 isn't an Oscar worthy film. |

yes, i saw it today. i loved it. i thought it was good. the storyline was interesting, but the visuals were amazing and intriguing. very erotic film. virginia madsen was beautiful and jim carrey was the perfect psychotic. i cannot believe i am saying this, but jim carrey (yes, mr.funnyman, as we think we know him) was hot and sexy in this film as Fingerling. critics think he should stick to being funny and not do serious roles. i think the critics should kiss his ass. he can do whatever he wants, drama or comedy. and he can do it with style.
go see the film!
and, yes, 23 is taking over my life. the end.

LOS ANGELES Feb 19, 2007 (AP)— Actor Ray Liotta was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his car into two parked vehicles in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.
Liotta, 52, was taken into custody just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday and booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge, said Los Angeles Police spokesman Mike Lopez.
He was released after posting $15,000 bail and ordered to appear in court next month, Lopez said.
No one was injured in the collision. Liotta was alone in his car, Lopez said.
A message left at the office of Liotta's publicist Matt Labov was not immediately returned.
Liotta stars with Tim Allen and John Travolta in the buddy comedy "Wild Hogs," set for release March 2. He is best known for playing gangster Henry Hill in the 1990 movie "Goodfellas."
Hey, it happens. There were many times, six years ago, I was stupid and should have been arrested for DWI, not DUI. But I (luckily) never got into a car accident, so I never got busted. There was one time I was completely plastered on seven Long Island Iced Teas and other shots, could barely walk, and drove, following a friend to another friend's house. I had a cop follow me for a long time and I was lost driving. I never got pulled over and finally the cop went a different way. I'm way more responsible these days. But now that I think about it...why did my friends let me drive? Why didn't they take my keys? |

did anyone watch the Grammy's? Does anyone care? I only watched it because I'm interning at a record label and was invited to the Grammy satellite party in NYC. I didn't go because I couldn't be away for a weekend, but felt obligated to watch the whole show on tv. I have to say, it was awesome to see Red Hot Chili Peppers win a few. They so deserve it (and all the other awards they've won in the past. I've been listening to them since 1990, I'm glad they're still around, kicking ass, and getting the recognition they deserve! And Anthony Kiedis still looks good! It was worth sitting through that show, just to see them. |

So, we were eating dinner the other night and my five year old, Cain, starts spouting poetry. At first, I thought it was something he learned in school, but then realized that he was making it up as he went along. It was some of the most beautiful poetry I have ever heard! It all had meaning and it all made sense. I am so proud of him! I am so happy he is a poet, just like his mommy and daddy :) I'm going to publish some of his poetry in my zine. |

A Recap of 2006... I managed to accomplish some of my resolutions for 2006. The biggest one was to get into film school and I did, two of the best in Hollywood I might add, although I didn't attend this year, but at least I know I have what it takes to get in. All my hard work from last January paid off. The snow today reminds me of last winter, when I would be staying up all night to work on graduate film applications. I was home with the kids all day, so it was really hard to get anything done while they were up, night was the only time I could work on applications. I would watch everyone else in the house sleep, while I sat on the computer typing essays and putting portfolios together, and I would be watching the snow that was falling. Honestly, I enjoyed those applications, I got to be truthful on them, I got to be me. Actually attending film school won't be another resolution until 2008. This year, the time just isn't right. We need to save up more money before we move to California. I don't want my kids living in a tiny closet sized apartment. I also managed to take art classes this past summer. Drawing classes to keep up with my drawing skills. I should take more this year, too, if income allows. I also managed to get teaching experience in photography, teaching urban youth. That was challenging, but rewarding. And I got more costuming experience costuming middle and high school theatre productions at my kids' school. So, I did pretty well with my resolutions from last year. So.......
2007 Resolutions 1) Write more - I already write a lot, mostly screenplays, but this year I want to write even more, especially fiction and poetry.
2) Spend even more time with the hubby and the kids - I love you boys so much, all three of you!!! <3
3) Make a film, feature length or short, it doesn't matter.
4) Get my zine running
5)Sell some of my fashion designs
6)Finish my art site 7)Go to Quikk Fixx 7 in Syracuse, last year's was awesome, best rave EVER!
8) See P.O.T.C 3 midnight opening, Memorial Day weekend, all dressed up in costume (like last time) I think I'm going to start making and selling p.o.t.c replica costumes.
I know, really interesting resolutions, right? But I'm already so happy with the things I've done and things I'm doing. So, my resolutions are really to just keep doing those things and keep looking forward.
As for things that are going on the next three months: * MBA classes; Accounting & Finance, and Business Economics (yes, I am working on my MBA, I figured it will help me in California and in film) *Costumes for Music Man Jr. at Allendale Columbia (Kids school) *Photo/art assistant for Allendale Columbia *Fundraiser Auction for Allendale ( I don't know why I signed up for this) *Teaching Photo *Designing character costumes, like Venom and Winnie the Pooh, for a company in Southern California. This I actually get paid for. Yay!!!
It's going to be an interesting year.... |

I don't watch a lot of tv, even though I have a lot of shows listed on my profile. Usually I am too busy writing scripts to watch tv. But there is always one show each season I get addicted to and have to watch it religiously. This season... Smith. Ray Liotta and Jonny Lee Miller as professional criminals...Hell Yes! give me more of that shit! It definitely grabbed my attention over a show about getting nuked, or nine people that were held up in a bank for 52 hours, or six people in NYC that somehow run into each other. But... Like every one show I get addicted to each season, Smith is now canceled. (oh,sorry, I forgot producers and networks don't like the word canceled) Just like John Doe, Firefly, Fast Lane, and Nightstalker. Why do I even bother watching tv? Kidnapped was also cancelled, but at least it was given the rest of this season and moved to saturday nights. WTF why couldn't they do that for Smith? I have written to CBS and complained, because that's how crazy I am over this show. I know it will not do anything, but at least it made me feel like I did do something. So, I have declared that every Tuesday night from 10pm-11pm is writing time for me to work on my own tv series script(s) in honor of Smith. |

In case you don't know, moving sucks. But anyway, I have moved into a new apartment as of Aug. 31. Its a bit smaller than what I had before, I lost two rooms. But the rooms here are much more spaceous and I still have a front porch and a back porch. Yay, party. I'm in a more beautiful neighborhood than before and still in the city, off of Park Ave! The kids started Nursery and Kindergarten on friday. I almost cried, but they are going to the best private non-religious private school in Rochester, so I am happy. They love the school. I should be online more soon. My internet should be hooked up this weekend. Right now, its fun trying to find a wireless signal around my apt. from the neighbors....Not really. My apt. is fucking awesome! |

Don't get me wrong though, I still love the Matrix... | You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.

I found out that I some of my poetry was published in this book about Susan B. Anthony. The book is called Susan B & Me by Patti Ronsvalle. Xerox is one of the sponsors of this book and the publisher is Big Kids Publishing. It is set to be nationally distributed and it may be internationally distributed. I was invited to the Book Release/ Press Conference on September 14th. I am so excited! I have had writing and art published before, but not on this scale. |
